OUAT 5x13: "Labor of Love" & 5x14: "Devil's Due"

Hi guys!! Sorry that I missed out on writing about the next episode of OUAT last week. But don't worry! I'm going to write about it now along with the latest episode. I also just want to warn you that I'm changing the style of these reviews; instead of talking about everything that happened, I'm just going to highlight the parts I liked best and share my general opinion (the previous way was a bit tedious).

5x13: "Labor of Love"

I was really really pleased with this episode. The use of Hercules was something that I was looking forward to ever since it was announced that Jonathan Whitesell would play the handsome demigod. I also really loved the flashback of young Snow and Hercules' friendship (and more). I won't lie to you; my brain was screaming "OTP" at the two. I don't care what anyone says, Snowcules (Snow and Herc) was a sweet young love and my heart burst when they kissed.

In addition, Hook didn't fail to amaze. I was touched that he helped Meg out of the prison even though it meant more punishment from Hades. Hook's heroicness has been extremely prominent throughout the season, and I couldn't be prouder of my little cinnamon roll (if you're thinking I'm crazy at this point, get used to it-it's a fandom thing).

To be frank, I really didn't like Meg. She was a whiny wimp and I know that Herc and Meg get together in the Disney version, but it was not a good pairing in this episode. Unfortunately, I don't think Herc is going to come back because at the end of the episode he finished his business and moved on to Olympus. And while I'm happy for my other little cinnamon roll, I'm definitely going to miss him. :(

5x14: "Devil's Due"

Once again, I was very pleased with the episode. I was so happy for Regina when she found out that Daniel had moved on. I may or may not have shed a tear when she gave him a little speech......Moving on....

Many people found that Milah's presence in the Underworld was a problem. I, however, didn't mind. I actually found it quite comical when Milah said to Emma, "You've been with my former lover and my son?" But after they resolved that issue, I was happy to see Emma and Milah work together to save Hook without any jealousy.

As for Hook, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY I AM THAT HE'S OK. When Emma saved him, my heart was bursting from the cuteness. "You're impossible." "And you love me for it." IF THAT DOESN'T SCREAM OTP THEN I DON'T KNOW WHAT DOES.

I have a few choice words for Hades and Rumple, but seeing as this isn't the appropriate place to vent, I'll try to keep it PG. Hades (although I love his sass) is a vindictive man. He used Rumple's past to make him do his bidding. However, Rumple definitely deserves it. I can't believe that Rumple (in the flashback) decided Milah's future for her and (in the Underworld) didn't even apologize for killing her. I mean, no wonder Milah hated him so much. I feel like Belle doesn't deserve to lose her child because of Rumple's unwise decisions. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Belle and Rumple are a terrible couple.

Also, SNOW, REGINA, AND EMMA ARE NOW FORCED TO LIVE IN THE UNDERWORLD BY HADES. Just thought I would throw that in there.

Well, that's my review! This format was a lot easier to write, so I hope it works for you guys, too. Be sure to watch the next episode of Once Upon a Time to see if Hook can choose between his long lost brother or his true love (it better be Emma or I will have words).

A Beginning and an End

Hello! So as you may have guessed from the title, I recently started a series and ended one (sort of).

Let's get the bad things out of the way first....I finished season 3 of Sherlock! :( There is another episode that aired, "The Abominable Bride," however I have yet to watch it. Us Sherlockians know that the next episode won't be out for a while, and I mean a while. In the last episode of season 3, we hear a voice on Mycroft's cell phone saying, "I'm back" repeatedly. When I heard this, I had a gut feeling that it was going to be who I thought it was. I was praying, "Please don't be Moriarty" and "Please be Moriarty" at the same time. Yeah, I'm weird that way. But what do you know? It ended up being Moriarty! So now I'm (un)patiently waiting to find The Abominable Bride so that I can get caught up, hopefully diminishing my confusion.

As for the new beginning...*drumroll*......I STARTED TO WATCH SUPERNATURAL!!! I've got to say, Supernatural is an amazing show!!! If you don't know what it is, it's a show about two brothers (Sam and Dean Winchester) who are basically hunting paranormal/supernatural beings on a quest to find their father, who has gone missing. I'm still on season one out of ten, but I really really enjoy watching it. A lot of people only watch the show because the main characters are good looking and not because of the content. Of course, the attractiveness always helps, but I'm in it for the action. I can now proudly announce that I've joined the land of SuperWhoLock (Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Sherlock)!

ONCE UPON A TIME SEASON 5B PREMIERE

Wow....I mean...wow!!!! That was a pretty epic start to the second half of season 5!

DISCLAIMER: If you haven't watched this episode and do not want it to be spoiled for you, then DO NOT READ ON.

I'm not going to lie when I say that my entire existence led to Sunday night's OUAT premiere, and for good reason too.

So it all started off with Emma waking up in her car to see Neal beside her. Neal tells her that she won't find him in the Underworld because it's a place for people with unfinished business, and he had none. He told her to turn back because, even though she loves Hook, the Underworld is a tormenting place that was not to be messed with. Emma woke up from this "fantasy moment" and found herself on the Charon's ferry.

Next, the gang stepped into the Underworld themselves, taking in the strange resemblance to their beloved Storybrooke. Snow tried to give a visual description to a blind woman (the witch from Hansel and Gretel) ended up mixing her husband up with his evil twin brother. I don't care what anyone says, but this absolutely cracks me up.

In addition, Rumple went to his shop to look for things that might "help" in their endeavor. The charming Peter Pan made an entrance to visit his dear old son. Pan wanted Rumple to help him trade places with one of the other living souls that came down to the Underworld so that he could spend time with his beloved son. Rumple knew what was good for him (for once) and refused his father's request. Although this is the right decision, I have to admit that I'll be missing the dashing Lost Boy. Anyway, as a peace offering, Pan left Rumple a potion that would allow contact with anyone in the Underworld. We'll get back to that...

Regina encountered her mother, who told her that she should turn and leave, taking Henry and Robin with her. However, Regina confessed that she couldn't leave Emma to finish the quest to find Hook on her own. Eventually, Cora told Regina that she would throw Henry Sr. (Regina's father) into the depths of fiery hell (keep in mind that hell and the Underworld are different places). Regina simply did not let that happen. Henry Sr. and Henry Jr. had a grandfather/grandson moment which absolutely melted my heart. Eventually, Henry Sr. took care of his unfinished business, being able to walk to heaven. I think it's safe to say that Henry Sr. stole the show.

Back to the potion thing: Rumple gave the vial to Emma and told her what it could do. Basically, you have to pour the liquid over someone's grave in the Underworld and then you'll be able to communicate with them. The gang figured that if they could do this, they could directly ask Hook where he was and cut out the middle man. Unfortunately, Hook's image was projected, but Emma couldn't get through to him (basically the equivalent of the signal dropping while you're on a call). But wait! There's more pain! Hook appeared beaten up, his left eye swollen with blood dripping down his face. Sources confirm that we'll gain insight on this soon.

As for Cora, she got into trouble. Apparently, it was crucial for her to send Regina out of the Underworld, but she failed in doing so. Can you guess who put her up to this task? That's right folks, the one and only Hades. I'm not quite sure why this was so important to Hades, but he was pretty mad, enough to revert Cora back to the version of herself she hated most: the miller's daughter. If I haven't said it to my friends enough, I'll say it again: Hades is sassy and I absolutely love it.

Everything Wrong with the HP Movies Part 3

Hello! It's been a while since I made a blog post about this subject, but I figured, what's the harm in doing another?

DISCLAIMER: I actually love the Harry Potter movies and have seen them at least a couple dozen times, but there's just so many things the movies got wrong!

Part 3: Voldemort's Death

• In the movies, when Harry defeated Voldemort, the villain in question started to turn into an explosion of butterflies or something, which is just a tiny bit off.
• In the seventh book, Voldemort died as Tom Riddle, meaning he died as a HUMAN. 
• This aspect of the story is quite symbolic because it represents that even the greatest of villains are still people, and they still die a human death. This shows that, at the core, Voldemort was still just an evil man with terrible intentions.

I know this was a short list, but I had to make sure I talked about it eventually because this aspect of the book-to-movie transition really bothered me. However, be warned! Once Upon a Time starts back up next Sunday so I won't really be talking about any other fandom than that unless I deem it necessary. Although, I do hope you can agree with my views of the slight misinterpretations found in the Harry Potter movies!

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

As promised, I'm bringing all you lovely viewers up to date on the information released about the play written by our beloved JK Rowling, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

The Cursed Child basically picks up from where we last saw Harry: saying goodbye to his sons as they went off to Hogwarts. This play tells the story of Harry and Albus, who's just starting his magical education. Here's what we know about the casting so far:

• Jamie Parker is set to play the role of Harry Potter, which raises some concern for me.
• Noma Dumezweni has been cast to play Hermione Granger. Coincidentally, Noma played on Doctor Who as a UNIT captain. However, there has been much controversy over this decision due to the fact that Dumezweni is African. Many fans argue that Hermione should be white, mostly because of the film adaptations, but Rowling herself confirmed that based off the traits that describe Hermione in the book, being African is definitely a possibility.
• Again I have my doubts for the actor chosen to portray Ron Weasley, Paul Thornley.

Now I know that many of the fans, including yours truly, can't fly all the way to London in order to see the eighth installment of our favorite series, and as much as that pains me, there is still an option for us. The script book will be released, which puts an end to our suffering. I know this still isn't quite as good as seeing the play live, but it's better than nothing.

All Good Series' Must Come to an End

Hello fangirls and /or fanboys! I have exciting news, which is both good and bad.

First off, I finished Jessica Jones!! It ended really surprisingly, and I've got to say that although Kilgrave had his definite cons, I still already miss David Tennant's appearance. I mean, Tennant really acted so well once again, truly bringing life to his character. Although it's unfortunate that season 1 came to an end, it's been confirmed that season 2 is in progress! So I'm no doubt ecstatic for that.

Second order of business: Doctor Who. I also happened to finish season 9 (including the Christmas special) very recently. There were many moments when I gasped in astonishment throughout the season, especially
when (SPOILER ALERT) it turned out that it was the Doctor who forgot Clara, not the other way around. However, now there's a hole in my heart, seeing as season 10 won't come until 2017, which will be Steven Moffat's last season. Fear not, Whovians, for I have contacted Netflix Support at least a billion times, attempting to bring back our beloved Whoniverse so we can relive the old days in these times of pain.

As for Once Upon a Time, well, what else can be said there? I'm still hanging on tight until March 6 to see what will become of our Storybrooke civilians. There's a bunch of pictures of season 5B circulating, which you can find out about at this Instagram page. 

Third of all: Harry Potter. Yes, I'm that person who is still not over the end of the series, but can you blame me? But I do have some uplifting news! First of all, I'm sure you've all seen the trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a spin off movie in the set Wizarding World. If not, I'll put the link on my page for you. Second of all, JK Rowling has written a play that will be performed in the UK this summer. For all of us who can't go to London, I believe a book will be released of the script/story line. I'll talk more on the casting and info of the play another time. Third of all, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is due to open this spring at Universal Studios in Los Angeles! Now, I've been to the one in Orlando, which was amazing, so I'm hoping that the one being made in LA is just as good, if not better. You can even see the castle when you drive by!

Lastly, I think it's fitting to talk about Sherlock. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to finishing it just yet, but I'll get there soon! Between my other fandoms and school, Sherlock has been neglected for a while. :(

As nostalgic as this post was, it was nice to get all the excitement out. I found it only fitting to let you guys know of my fandom status, seeing as this is a fandom blog. I hope all of you have a great week!

More Fandoms!!!!

Hello, my lovely viewers!! I'm back again with even more new arrivals!!

Recently, I got into Jessica Jones. I will admit that I was a little confused at the beginning, but it all got sorted out and now I'm really into it. I've got to say that I don't know what to think of Kilgrave. Sometimes I feel bad for him, but other times I really believe that he is a psychopath. For example, the whole fiasco with his parents threw me for a loop; it was truly a roller-coaster of events and emotions. His lust for Jessica is super creepy, especially the part when he made an exact copy of her childhood home, complete with all the knick-knacks.

I've also been persuaded to watch Sherlock, which I'm pleased to say is a fantastic show. It's very complex and intricate, and very very impressive. Sherlock's powers of deduction amaze me, however I am a bit disappointed that he didn't figure out who Moriarty was earlier. I had a feeling that "Jim from IT" was actually the mastermind, but it seems that Sherlock didn't catch on as quickly. As a fangirl, I'm ecstatic to announce that I officially ship JohnLock (John Watson and Sherlock). I find it absolutely hilarious when common people frequently mistake them as a couple as John frantically rushes to correct them.

Well, this has definitely made me happy to write about. It's so nice to be able to share my thoughts on various fandoms and I hope that you guys can somewhat relate. I'm always happy to read comments below if you want to take the time to talk about your fandoms. Gradually, I know I'll be sucked into even more.
