OUAT 5x19: "Sisters" & 5x20: "Firebird

Since I missed a blog post last week, I knew I had to make it up by doubling this week's post, so without further ado, I present my review on Once Upon A Time's last two episodes, "Sisters" and "Firebird".

DISCLAIMER: If you have not watched these episodes and don't want them to be spoiled for you, then DO NOT READ ON.

5x19: "Sisters":

So this episode was actually pretty emotional for me (the next one was too, but we'll get to that later). I know everyone hates Cora, and trust me, I hate Cora too. However, it was so touching to watch her bid farewell to her daughters and move on.

Speaking of Cora's daughters, Zelena and Regina were absolutely heartwarming together this episode. I found it so interesting that they had been so close to each other before Cora erased their memories. In addition, the way they found comfort in each other after Cora's departure warmed my heart.

One thing I didn't really understand in this episode was the whole James/Charming thing. First of all (and I think this can be said on behalf of all of us), James really needed to chill. I mean, I can understand his anger over Charming "stealing his glory" or whatever, but not enough to want to kill him. Also (I don't think I've said this before), Cruella and James' behavior together is just so awkward to watch, the way they're pressed up against each other.

5x20: "Firebird":

Who's ready for heartbreak #2? You might want to grab some tissues and a pillow to cry into, because this episode was a whole lot more emotional. In the three seasons that I have been shipping CaptainSwan, I've had my heart crushed about 134 times. Well prepare yourselves for #135.

The worst thing about all heartbreaking CaptainSwan-centered episodes are that they start off really innocent and cute. Then, once you think you're safe, Adam and Eddy laugh in your face and give you hell. Basically, CaptainSwan was finally confirmed True Love after three years, which was a big deal for us Oncers because literally every other ship had been confirmed before CS. Then, the ambrosia tree (which would help Hook get out of the Underworld) was cut down, so Hook couldn't leave. There aren't enough words in the English vocabulary that can perfectly comprehend how much emotion was in the goodbye between Hook and Emma. You know what? I'll just put the link on my page so you can relive the emotional trauma.

In addition, I am once again ticked off by Hades. I was really really starting to trust him, and then he just turned around and betrayed all of the heroes and lied to Zelena. I mean, I really do trust Zelena, who really wanted to get her sister and everyone else safely out of the Underworld. But I swear to god I will hit Hades upside the head for being such an insufferable weasel.

Well, that's basically all my emotions spelled out for you. I'll post the link to the heartbreaking CS moment and to the promo for this Sunday's episode. Don't forget to watch!

May you find peace in your fandoms.

OUAT 5x18: "Ruby Slippers"

I think that no matter what can be said for this episode, one thing remains absolute: it was a bit interesting....

DISCLAIMER: If you have not watched this episode and do not want it to be spoiled for you, then DO NOT READ ON.

First things first, I'm kind of happy that the writers decided to acknowledge that Baby Neal was in Storybrooke all by himself-it was about time. However, I feel like they were just trying to push Snow out of the Underworld (probably) because Ginnifer Goodwin is pregnant again.

Speaking of getting rid of people, what in the world happened to Robin? He hasn't even been a major part in the last few episodes and he didn't even make an appearance in this one. However, he is in the promo for the next episode, so you can check that out in my "Related Videos" section.

Also, what's the whole deal of Belle putting herself under a sleeping curse so that Hades couldn't speed up her pregnancy? I'm not going to lie, that was a pretty dumb idea. And to top it off, she said that Rumple couldn't wake her up, her dad would do it. I mean, I do hate Rumple from the bottom of my heart, but that's not how a sleeping curse works. And I know there's different kinds of true love, such as that of family, but that kind of bordered pedophilia from my perspective.

I really didn't understand the big fuss about Zelena putting Dorothy under a sleeping curse back in Oz. She went on about how she had done something worse than wicked because Dorothy supposedly didn't have someone who loved her, but come on, Zelena has done way worse than that Plus sleeping curses seem to become a trend nowadays anyway, so it didn't seem particularly significant.

Speaking of Dorothy, I don't think we can ignore the elephant in the room much longer.

DISCLAIMER: Before I begin, I'd like to point out that I'm an avid supporter of the LGBT+ community, and the following criticism has nothing to do with sexual preferences of certain individuals.

So basically, I don't really support Ruby and Dorothy's relationship. Like I said, it has nothing to do with the fact that they're both female. In fact, I just think that the whole thing was way too rushed. I mean, the two must have only known each other for a few weeks, so how would they even fall in love that fast? I'm just kind of furious with Adam and Eddy (and the other writers) for giving a random couple TLK (True Love's Kiss) action, and not a couple that's been together for almost three years (aka CaptainSwan).

However, I feel the need to acknowledge the fact that the captain of my beloved ship had his fair share of adorable moments in this episode. Hook's bromance with David made me chuckle, especially when I remembered that they are soon-to-be in-laws. In addition, Hook seemed to be so proud of his handiwork when he crossed out Snow's name on the headstone, even though it looked like a five year old wrote it.

So I think that's all for now. I really surprised myself by updating so fast, especially since I haven't updated my fanfiction in about two and a half weeks. Hmm...I should probably get around to that.....Anyway, don't forget to watch Once Upon a Time on Sunday at 8 PM on ABC!

OUAT 5x17: "Her Handsome Hero"

Truthfully, I didn't really enjoy this episode that much. Nonetheless, I need to provide my regular review.

DISCLAIMER: If you have not watched this episode and do not want it to be spoiled for you, then DO NOT READ ON.

First of all, this episode had too many things going on at once. I know, I know--OUAT episodes are usually like that, but none of the occurrences in this episode seemed to be linked together.

My favorite part of this episode had to be when Emma, Snow, and Hook were in Regina's vault and Emma casually said, "I don't have any issues." That line made me laugh so much because we all know that's not true. However, I can personally identify with that as I, too, tend to pretend I don't have any problems.

Once again, Belle disappointed me by going back to Rumple. At first she admitted that she "allows her optimism to cloud her judgment", but later on she ran into Rumple's arms;basically it's one step forward, two steps back with her.

As for Gaston, I don't really know what to think. When he first appeared, I was pretty confused because he didn't appear to be the vain, selfish Gaston we know from the Disney movie. I was watching this episode with my cousin and she also pointed out something to me that I never even thought of: Belle and her father are supposed to be relatively poor townspeople, not in charge of their own kingdom. I know Adam and Eddy like to put their own spin on the Disney versions, but that's just an insignificant detail that they should've stuck to.

Later on, we saw that Gaston actually had "demonic fire" in his eyes or whatever that book was talking about, which meant that he was evil with bad intentions or something like that (I wasn't really paying attention-I was too busy explaining the show to my cousin). This was also a little strange, but by this point I just went with it.

As much as I don't like Gaston, he is far better than Rumple, and I was actually pretty disappointed when he was pushed into the River of Lost Souls by Belle. After that incident, Hades showed up and cleverly got out of the deal he made with Belle by finding a loophole. Although they're not a good representation of my house, if their ever were true Slytherins, it would be Hades and Rumple. They're each an embodiment of what it means to be cunning and self-sufficient, even if it's for evil intentions.

So those were basically my thoughts on the episode. The next episode of Once Upon a Time is tonight at 8 PM so be sure to watch!

OUAT 5x16: "Our Decay"

I apologize for the delay, but better late than never! Here's my review for last Sunday's Once Upon A Time episode.

DISCLAIMER: If you have not watched this episode and do not want it spoiled for you, then DO NOT READ ON.

A big part of this episode was the budding romance between Zelena and Hades. I'm not going to lie, I found it just a tad bit creepy at the beginning. However, I grew to find myself oddly intrigued by the chemistry the two of them share. I also found myself uncertain of Hades' intentions. Does he really have feelings for Zelena or is it all part of a grand scheme to escape the Underworld? I'm very proud of Zelena for not immediately trusting him when they reunited in the Underworld because, as we've seen, he's got many tricks up his sleeve.

Once again, Belle really annoyed me in this episode. I understand that Zelena is not the most trustworthy witch in the world, but she has the right to have her baby. However, I am surprised that Belle didn't immediately forgive Rumple for being the Dark One again (I'll get back to that later).

Speaking of Zelena and her baby, I was also a little bit disappointed in Robin. Yes, I know, the baby is Robin's kid too, but he was being incredibly rude to Zelena. Granted, I can see where this stems from as Zelena engaged Robin in rape by deception (this is an actual thing and I realize it may be mature but that's what happened). But as we've witnessed, while Zelena is ruthless towards others, she really just cares about her child, and it's not right for Robin to keep the baby from her. When Zelena realized she couldn't keep the baby safe and gave her up, I was so touched. That is real character development.

Now back to Rumple. I really want to use some choice words to describe him, but I know it would be inappropriate, so I'll stop myself. However, Rumple was incredibly rude to Belle without even realizing it. He told her that he loves the dagger and he can't love her without being able to love it too. Is that materialistic or what? I swear to all that is holy, if Belle ends up running back to that no-good trash of a man, I'm going to be furious with Adam and Eddy.

My next post is going to be about tonight's episode of OUAT, so stay tuned. Also, please watch the show live as shows that don't get high enough live views get cancelled.

May you find peace in your fandoms.

OUAT 5x15: "The Brothers Jones"

This review isn't about the latest episode of Once Upon a Time, but rather the one directly before it. Now, without further ado, I present to you my take on the 5x15 episode, "The Brothers Jones."

DISCLAIMER: If you have not watched this episode and don't want it to be spoiled for you, then DO NOT READ ON.

I very much enjoyed this episode. Many of my friends actually found it quite boring, but I think Liam Jones' appearance was something that was bound to happen.

So let's address the elephant in the room: CaptainSwan. I admit that I was concerned that Killian had blindly trusted Liam, who treated Emma with discontent. Much like Emma told Regina, Liam is extremely self-righteous, which he doesn't have the right to be. Why act all high and mighty if you're actually selfish and a liar? I guess he picked it up from Rumple the first time he went to hell.

Luckily though, Emma and Hook ended up working it out. I was so excited when Hook admitted that he intended to have a future with Emma once they defeated Hades. I think that more writers of shows should take this situation in consideration. It is so much more pleasing to see a couple go through something tough and then end up happily when the episode is over. But putting us through severe pain in order to see happy moments again (trust me, it's happened)? That's not a good idea.

There's something that's been bugging me about Henry's situation lately. I understand that resurrecting Cruella would not have been the best idea, but I'm getting really annoyed by the Charming-Mills family. I don't like how whenever Henry is slightly detached, they make some snarky comment about him being "an emo teenager". I mean, what did they think was going to happen? Henry is growing up and is constantly neglected by the others, being told to stand watch when he could help. He is not a little kid anymore, and it bugs me that Regina and Emma are still holding him so close when he can take care of himself. My parents don't do that to me!

That's all for now. I'll update soon about the latest episode of Once Upon a Time when I get the chance.

May you find peace in your fandoms.

OUAT 5x13: "Labor of Love" & 5x14: "Devil's Due"

Hi guys!! Sorry that I missed out on writing about the next episode of OUAT last week. But don't worry! I'm going to write about it now along with the latest episode. I also just want to warn you that I'm changing the style of these reviews; instead of talking about everything that happened, I'm just going to highlight the parts I liked best and share my general opinion (the previous way was a bit tedious).

DISCLAIMER: If you have not watched these episodes and don't want them to be spoiled for you, then DO NOT READ ON.

5x13: "Labor of Love"

I was really really pleased with this episode. The use of Hercules was something that I was looking forward to ever since it was announced that Jonathan Whitesell would play the handsome demigod. I also really loved the flashback of young Snow and Hercules' friendship (and more). I won't lie to you; my brain was screaming "OTP" at the two. I don't care what anyone says, Snowcules (Snow and Herc) was a sweet young love and my heart burst when they kissed.

In addition, Hook didn't fail to amaze. I was touched that he helped Meg out of the prison even though it meant more punishment from Hades. Hook's heroicness has been extremely prominent throughout the season, and I couldn't be prouder of my little cinnamon roll (if you're thinking I'm crazy at this point, get used to it-it's a fandom thing).

To be frank, I really didn't like Meg. She was a whiny wimp and I know that Herc and Meg get together in the Disney version, but it was not a good pairing in this episode. Unfortunately, I don't think Herc is going to come back because at the end of the episode he finished his business and moved on to Olympus. And while I'm happy for my other little cinnamon roll, I'm definitely going to miss him. :(

5x14: "Devil's Due"

Once again, I was very pleased with the episode. I was so happy for Regina when she found out that Daniel had moved on. I may or may not have shed a tear when she gave him a little speech......Moving on....

Many people found that Milah's presence in the Underworld was a problem. I, however, didn't mind. I actually found it quite comical when Milah said to Emma, "You've been with my former lover and my son?" But after they resolved that issue, I was happy to see Emma and Milah work together to save Hook without any jealousy.

As for Hook, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY I AM THAT HE'S OK. When Emma saved him, my heart was bursting from the cuteness. "You're impossible." "And you love me for it." IF THAT DOESN'T SCREAM OTP THEN I DON'T KNOW WHAT DOES.

I have a few choice words for Hades and Rumple, but seeing as this isn't the appropriate place to vent, I'll try to keep it PG. Hades (although I love his sass) is a vindictive man. He used Rumple's past to make him do his bidding. However, Rumple definitely deserves it. I can't believe that Rumple (in the flashback) decided Milah's future for her and (in the Underworld) didn't even apologize for killing her. I mean, no wonder Milah hated him so much. I feel like Belle doesn't deserve to lose her child because of Rumple's unwise decisions. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Belle and Rumple are a terrible couple.

Also, SNOW, REGINA, AND EMMA ARE NOW FORCED TO LIVE IN THE UNDERWORLD BY HADES. Just thought I would throw that in there.

Well, that's my review! This format was a lot easier to write, so I hope it works for you guys, too. Be sure to watch the next episode of Once Upon a Time to see if Hook can choose between his long lost brother or his true love (it better be Emma or I will have words).

May you find peace in your fandoms.

A Beginning and an End

Hello! So as you may have guessed from the title, I recently started a series and ended one (sort of).

Let's get the bad things out of the way first....I finished season 3 of Sherlock! :( There is another episode that aired, "The Abominable Bride," however I have yet to watch it. Us Sherlockians know that the next episode won't be out for a while, and I mean a while. In the last episode of season 3, we hear a voice on Mycroft's cell phone saying, "I'm back" repeatedly. When I heard this, I had a gut feeling that it was going to be who I thought it was. I was praying, "Please don't be Moriarty" and "Please be Moriarty" at the same time. Yeah, I'm weird that way. But what do you know? It ended up being Moriarty! So now I'm (un)patiently waiting to find The Abominable Bride so that I can get caught up, hopefully diminishing my confusion.

As for the new beginning...*drumroll*......I STARTED TO WATCH SUPERNATURAL!!! I've got to say, Supernatural is an amazing show!!! If you don't know what it is, it's a show about two brothers (Sam and Dean Winchester) who are basically hunting paranormal/supernatural beings on a quest to find their father, who has gone missing. I'm still on season one out of ten, but I really really enjoy watching it. A lot of people only watch the show because the main characters are good looking and not because of the content. Of course, the attractiveness always helps, but I'm in it for the action. I can now proudly announce that I've joined the land of SuperWhoLock (Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Sherlock)!

Well that'll be all for this time. However, I'll be updating quite soon about tomorrow night's OUAT episode so all you Oncers should stay tuned!! Until next time!

May you find peace in your fandoms.
